This delightful teaser trailer for the family-friendly sci-fi adventure film, Earth to Echo, snuck up on us today, so we thought we’d bring it to you. The story centers on a trio of kids who each receive strange messages on their cellphone, codes that lead them to an alien being who desperately needs their help. The movie appears to have the crowd-pleasing elements of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, with maybe a little bit of WALL-E and even Attack the Block thrown in for good measure. Here’s hoping Earth to Echo turns out to be more of an original piece than the sum of its sci-fi parts.
Directed by Dave Green, written by Henry Gayden and Andrew Panay, and starring Teo Halm, Brian “Astro” Bradley, Reese Hartwig, and Ella Linnea Wahlestedt, Earth to Echo opens in theaters April 25th. Hit the jump to watch the trailer.
